Can i square off an nrml order by placing gtt counter order?

For eg. I have an outstanding nrml index option. Can it be sqared off by placing a GTT sell order.

Yes, you can do this. The GTT order you place will act as Stoploss.

So a non - GTT buy order can be sqaured off by placing a GTT sell order…? Did i understand it the right way?
