Can loss in intraday Options with squared off with STCG

If I had 1L loss in Intraday Options and 1.5L profit from Stocks (STCG), can I set off losses in Intraday Options against profit from stocks (STCG) for taxation?

If yes, and in next year, do I treat profits from stocks (less than 1 year but not intraday) as STCG i.e. 15% tax?

Thank you

Hey @sdrathi,

No, intraday losses are considered speculative business losses and they cannot be set-off against any other income apart from profits from speculative business.

However, you can still report them and carry them forward for 4 years.

Hope this helps!
