Can someone brief me instant redemption

What is instant redemption how instant it actually is?
What sort of mutual funds and fund houses give it?
Someone who has actually used it?
Can I have it in DeMat (coin)?

  1. You can redeem 90% or ₹50k, whichever is smaller within 30 mins.
  2. It is available in many liquid funds. When investing, check for instant tag in Kuvera, Paytm Money or AMC website. Eg: Nippon, PGIM, Aditya Birla, etc.
  3. Yes it works. Don’t redeem more than 90%, even if less than 50k. Will get stuck in 2 day redemption then.
  4. No. Will not be possible in demat since you receive funds only on T+2.

Sebi is moving everyone to t+0. So we might get end of day redemption, but instant will not be possible because it’s stored like stocks.

I would suggest you do it in Kuvera or Groww (if they have it). I have tested in Kuvera, and they offer 6-7 funds so you can do 50k * 6 = 3L instant redemption (provided 3L is lesser than 90% of total amount in liquid funds)

a. Liquid funds offer the convenience of instant redemption, empowering investors to access their investments within minutes.

b. Ideal for short-term objectives such as planning a vacation or securing emergency funds, these mutual funds provide flexibility and peace of mind in managing financial goals efficiently.

Can anyone point to a list of fund houses that provide instant redemption if I invest directly with them? (Not through Coin)

That’s every fund house I suppose because it’s a mandatory requirement on liquid funds in SOA.

Not mandatory
