Can the Open Price of a stock be higher/lower than the circuit limit?

Say there is some exceptional news about a stock. Is it possible that the pre-open price discovery can override the circuit limits in any case at all?

There is no chance of price overriding circuit limit, if there is huge demand or supply, chances are it will open at circuit limit.

Also in pre-market session there is 20% price band applicable either side. You can learn more about pre-open session here.

In the pre opening session… The stocks has given a price band of 20% which is huge and also the volume of market participants is less as in case of normal trading hours …
