Can we shot sell Call or Put option and keep it in delivery? Or it will get automatically squared off like stocks.

Yes, you can Short Call or Put Option and carry that position overnight, in this case you will have to Short using product type NRML, if you short using MIS your position will be squared-off by 3:25 PM.
That being said, Shorting Options is risky business, before you get into it, I’d like to suggest you to learn as much as you can to get better understanding. Go through below module on Varsity.
