Can I use Kite API for this purpose?
No, this is not allowed, data cannot be shared from our API, one has to buy from authorized data vendor or from NSE.

Did you ever find an answer to this? Would be really interested to know if I can monetise a website I built on Kite API, that does not do any trading or make stock recommendations and is merely a decision support system for investors.
Presumably would need to license the Kite Connect API for a business,
and not use Kite Connect API access of a retail trading account for the business.
Alternately, can build the website/app to allow users to specify their personal Kite Connect tokens, which the app will use on their behalf. Additional trust concerns with this approach?
I thought so too.
With users entering their own token/api key, they would be paying Zerodha Rs500 on top of the platform subscription fee we are building, which is not ideal and a hassle as well for an end user.
