Can't square off my option position?

I bought 1 lot of GMR Infra call options but despite repeated attempts to exit my position in the last week, I haven’t been successful. So my question is do I have to pay the stt charges on the contract if I’m unable to sell the lot before expiry? Or is there any other way to square off my position?

please don’t trade OTM options on stocks. They are very very iliquid.
