Charts in Zerodha show different view when compared to Trading View

Hi,
Can someone explain me why there is a difference in Chart View in Zerodha Trading view charts and trading view.com charts. I am unable to confirm which is the correct one.

Example:
Check BOROLTD in 1D time frame on Dec 5 where the demerger happened now look the different view below:

  1. Zerodha chart view:

  2. Tradingview.com view

Hi @rakeshg, charts on Kite are adjusted for corporate actions such as bonus, stock splits, rights issues, spin-offs, and extraordinary dividends, i.e. dividends of 2% and above of the underlying stock’s market value.

December 5, 2023, was the ex-date/record date for the demerger of Borosil Sceintefic from Borosil Ltd. The charts on Kite have been adjusted for this. On Trading View, the charts might not have been adjusted, hence the difference.

@ShubhS9 Please explain why chat on Kite is adjusted after CA, where the other chart platforms do not adjust the chart.

I have followed this article-Why does the Open, High, Low, Close (OHLC) of historical data on the Kite charts sometimes not match the records updated in NSE or BSE?

Can it be stopped?

@ShubhS9 Sir, any update on this. Please guide.

Apologies for the delayed response. Cannot comment on why other brokers don’t do it, but we adjust charts so you get a more accurate historical measure of the stock’s performance.

For example, when a company announces a dividend, the stock price drops on the ex-date. If the charts aren’t adjusted, it will continue to show a loss on that day (when there is no loss for investors as they get the dividend amount in the bank account) and won’t give an accurate measure of returns.

Nope.
