Claude MCP Server integration error

I tried integrating Claude desktop, I followed the exact steps but I keep getting below error

Can someone please provide the solution?

Please post the details of “exact steps” so that someone can review them
and point out of any misundestanding/mistakes (if any).

Alternately, this post contains recently verified steps with screenshots.
Maybe worth double-checking once.

If still facing issues,
please capture and share logs with the devs
(DM the devs on this forum as suggested here.)

I followed the same steps mentioned in that post. Have DM you the logs

Again. You think you do.
If you had followed the exact steps then you wouldn’t be facing the error.

Note: Am not saying you missed something.
The reference steps could be ambiguous (in fact, they are).
But, unless you share the exact steps that YOU followed,
and help others reproduce the behavior that YOU are facing,
folks trying to help will be making blind guesses.

Anyway, here’s a blind “shot in the dark” attempt to potentially fix the issue -

Are you using Windows?
If yes, Is Node installed properly (and npx recognized as a valid command in the shell?)
If yes, can you try the steps described in this article?

I am facing the same issue.

Reinstall the node, it will work

Buddy you gotta chill out a bit, the steps are in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dA6IgCdg6tE (if you can’t find it).

Just give the correct solution, if you have.

Ask good questions. Get good answers. :innocent:

An example of such a blind guess is re-sharing the link to a video that OP has already seen.

There likely exist some subtle differences between the environment setup demonstrated in the video and OP’s setup, hence the difference in the expected behavior vs. th observed behavior reported by OP in this topic-thread.

For future reference,

here’s a good overview of How to Ask Questions effectively.
( i.e. how to increase the odds of getting to a helpful solution faster. )

If the written word doesn’t get the point across,
here’s a video-clip of a scene (at 14m37s in) that hopefully demonstrates
the challenges with attempting to solve incomplete/ambiguous Qs.

As this is not getting fixed anytime soon. I’ve recently started using my own implementation of Kite MCP. If you’re looking for a self-hosted Kite MCP solution, check it out here: GitHub - codeglyph/kite-mcp: A Model Context Protocol (MCP) server for integrating with Zerodha Kite API. This server provides Claude with tools to interact with your Kite trading account. This is an unofficial integration with Zerodha Kite API. Use at your own risk. Always verify trades and orders before execution..

I’ve tested it with Claude, and it’s been working great so far! This is still a work in progress, and I’m planning to simplify the setup soon. But for now—put on your developer hats—as it does require some setup. That said, it should get the job done in the meantime.

A succinct response!

@cvs You have once again shown yourself to be a arrogant, depressed loser
Such a pointless, meaningless response
