How can I purchase close ended mutual funds that are trading their NAV price. Eg. Hdfc equity opertunity fund series 2 may 2017. Presently trading at 9.5 where as NAV is 10.
You cannot purchase units of a close ended fund once the NFO period is closed. However, if you already have units of a close ended fund, you can sell them on the exchange. But do remember, this will be at a discount, hence you see the difference in NAV.
OP asked how he can buy from exchange.
Since it is available in exchange, one should be able to, although not sure if you have to use zerodha or coin.
Karthik, if some one wants to sell there should be buyers. I am asking how can I become buyer of those discounted sale
