What is the challenge in introducing pledging for commodities futures and option selling
It was not there for currency but now it is there. Similarly commodities should also have it

@VenuMadhav Really ? so now can we use collateral margin we get from pledge to trade in commodity MCX ?
Yes, this is being allowed.
Wait so is the list of approved securities the same for both Nse and MCX pledge margin? Is there some other process to be adhered to or just regular pledge process with the margin being fungible?
Also please update the support pages, it still says commodity pledge is not available.
@VenuMadhav please also update on your website that it is now allowed because as i am checking on your website it is showing not allowed…please change it so everyone will get to know about it and

This change was brought into effect only today. We will update the website soon.
