Are there any mutual funds that focus on assets other than Equity or Debt?
I have enough exposure to both asset classes at the moment. I want to get some commodity allocation in there too but I don’t want to invest individually into only Gold and Silver.
Is there a mutual fund which allocates commodities like equity funds to maximise returns? Also anything similar for other non-equity assets? I know AIFs exist but I don’t think I can meet the minimum.
REITs aren’t diversified tho? They seem to be the equivalent to Stocks not Mutual funds.
Is there any mutual fund which deals only in REITs and InvITs?
My reason for asking for this is that Equity seems to be overvalued at the moment. I have money which I want to allocate but Equity just isn’t the right place for it at the moment. Debt on the other hand doesn’t give the same kind of returns and also just keeping my funds in the bank gives 7.25% with much quicker access. Doesn’t make sense to invest in a debt fund over keeping the money in a savings bank account.
It isn’t diversified is my point. REIT only holds a single piece of real estate. It is basically like a share. I’m looking for a Fund which would hold multiple REITs and rebalance as the fund manager sees fit to maximise returns.
Contrary to some of the advisors, I like ‘Multi Asset Funds’ as a category.
They have the risk profile of hybrid funds but equity like returns (so far). Specifically ICICI Multi Asset Fund and Quant Multi Asset faired better than many pure equity fund despite having high expense ratios and lower standard deviation.
