Unlike options, Futures is a straight forward instrument. You just need to ensure your view on the direction is good.
The only times when you can get into a mess is when the Futures you are trading gets into a Ban period. When the contract gets banned, you can only exit your position…and cannot enter any new fresh positions. You need to track the contract and ensure you are doing the right thing.
