Criteria for gsec entry/exit from approved list of securities for pledging

every month nse updates the list of securities that can be pledged. some gsecs are added or removed from this list but no criteria has been given anywhere on what basis they do so. I have tried searching it but couldn’t find anything about it. I have mailed to nse and sebi but still no response from them. This month also my two gsecs have been removed from the list. Please share criteria/methodology related to this list. Thanks

I had a same question but couldn’t find anything.

Can you name those two gsecs?

667gs2050 and 695gs2061. Though one of my holding gsec has been added 676gs2061

NSE updates the list based on overall liquidity. If a bond isn’t traded enough or its market activity drops, it may be removed, and those that become more liquid get added.

Don’t you think it’s bad of them to have same criteria for equity and bonds both?

here it is just mentioned that review will take place on 15th of every month but on what basis review will be done.

no i don’t think that would be case. recently, i saw decent volume gsec getting removed from list and gsec with much less volumes were retained in list

any updates. i have filed RTI on 02/11, though i knew nothing will come and in reality nothing came. The reply is that your query is not clear.

Nope, can’t comment on this. The clearing corporation decides it.
