Hello, I’m confused between day PnL and overall PnL at top of the kite app. Let’s say day PnL shows Rs 100 profit for today while the overall is Rs 20. So on the next day will it be Rs 120 overall PnL shown on top?

The day’s P&L in holdings is calculated by comparing the previous day’s close with the Last Traded Price (LTP). It indicates the performance of the holdings since the previous close.
The ‘100 rupees Day PNL’ displayed represents the price fluctuation relative to the Last Traded Price (LTP) when compared to the closing price of the previous day for the securities listed under the ‘Holdings’ tab. On the other hand, ‘Overall P&L’ = ‘Total P&L’ shows the cumulative/sum of profit or loss across all securities held in the portfolio, which are listed under the ‘Holdings’ tab.

Thanks. However if i need to check how much day profit or loss i have made then i need to compare overall PnL difference for each day to get the correct number not the day PnL correct?
It also means day PnL numbers don’t contribute to the overall PnL ?
