Are there any debt mutual funds that offer tax breaks under section 80(c) ?
No, only ELSS funds exist.
And I think the very reason 80C is given for equity is because we are taking a chance choosing a volatile asset class.
There are other fixed income instruments like PPF, EPF, NSC, SSY, 5 year FDs, etc. But, I don’t think any debt mutual funds are eligible.
