There was a outstanding demand notification i received. I paid the demand and responded to outstanding notification with demand paid challan details and agreement to demand
But even after response submission the status shows pending payment with outstanding interest
Please advise which number to contact or write to?

If you have responded to the demand with the challan, no further action is required from your end.
Status on Income tax portal will take time to change. It generally takes 6-8 months to get the status updated.
Meanwhile, you can raise a grievance on Income tax portal mentioning the same issue.

What if i submit rectification request with process only returns option?
Will it make them consider latest form 26AS credit?
