Dematerialization joint a/c, shares on single name

Hi there
My dad have some physical share certificates on his name(single). The a/c with zerodha is a joint a/c. Can he demat these physical shares using the joint a/c?

hi i have physical shares as my grandfather used to lend money in exchange of that bt now my grandfather has passed away and i found that share so hw can i convert that physical shares on my name wats the procedure

Nope, even the demat account has to be a single demat account to get this dematerialized.
