I am an active derivatives (F&O) trader using one of the largest trading platforms in India.
The platform does not provide a clear disclosure of realised P&L, specifically:
• Day-wise realised P&L
• Trade-wise realised P&L
• Year-to-date realised P&L
Despite prolonged follow-up with the broker (over one year), I have not received a clear explanation on:
How realised P&L is derived
Whether trade-wise realised P&L is available
How to independently reconcile realised profits/losses
Seeking clarity from experienced traders:
Is day-wise realised P&L normally available across brokers?
Should trade-wise realised P&L be visible or extractable?
How do you independently compute realised P&L accurately?
How do traders handle capital reconciliation in such situations?
Has anyone faced similar reporting limitations?
