Hi everyone.
After record date for dividends, how many days are usually taken before real payout to banks are made? Was curious because I have not received payout of last PFC dividend with record date of 1st July.
If you are eligible for dividends, you will receive the dividends in your bank account (primary bank linked with Zerodha DEMAT), on the dividend payment date.
The dividend payment date is generally 30-45 days after the record date.
This is taking into consideration you have an account with Zerodha. But I am guessing this is universally applicable. Got it from this article.
If you are eligible for dividends and have not received it even after the dividend payment date, you will need to contact the companies’ registrar.
As per the NSE’s website the registrar for PFC is as below.
That was a final dividend recommended by the Board, but not yet approved by the AGM. The AGM is slated for Sep 21, and the dividend will become “real” only if it is approved at the AGM. If the dividend is approved at the AGM (as is usually the case), then it will be paid within 30 days of the date of the AGM.
The record date does not have any connection with when the dividend will be paid, for final dividends. The important date is the date of AGM where the dividend is approved and declared.
You can get all this information from the Corporate Information section of the NSE page on PFC.
