Documents by zerodha to retain in mail and which to delete?

Zerodha statements — what should I actually keep?

I’m trying to clean up my email/financial records and realized Zerodha sends/provides a LOT of different statements.

I’m aware of:

  • Contract notes
  • Tax P&L / Capital Gains statement
  • Ledger / Funds statement
  • Tradebook
  • Holdings statement
  • Weekly Statement of Account
  • Retention Statement
  • Quarterly Settlement Statement
  • NSE/BSE Funds & Securities Balance Statement
  • Corporate action statements/emails

For someone who is a normal long-term equity/ETF/MF investor (not doing heavy F&O trading), which of these are actually important to preserve?

Specifically:

  1. Which documents should I definitely keep for tax/legal purposes?

Would appreciate advice from people who have been investing for several years or have dealt with a CA/tax audit.

Trying to create a simple document-retention system rather than keeping every email Zerodha sends

I would guess contract notes
