Well, I never said data is being recreated by Zerodha. I said, someone from Zerodha should be able to explain - for even if the data is coming from Exchange, I haven’t come across an instance where data is being passed on as legit for an index before its launch date. Though I accept … I have limited understanding of this.

Oh this is good… The drawdowns are deep and longer duration in alpha 50. Probably thats why I assumed its risky
I guess, thats NSE supplied data, Zerodha may not have control over it.

ohh… got it. Nice thinking. If you are not too deep yet, You may like to look at alpha-low volatility factor universe . Performance is better ( more CAGR, lower Drawdown… in back testing ofcource) and intuitively lower churn.
