Or may be that security is not kept in your demat account.
It can be kept in a ‘Pooled account’

That’s the reason. Broker will get the dividend in their bank account from vedanta and the broker will credit it to your trading account.
You’ll get the dividend in your bank account directly from the company when it’s unpledged.
