I am new to the forum and i like to share my questions here. I had bought 10400 shares of Dwekam Industries at average of Rs.3 (Total worth= 30000 Rs) . Once the company faced the share value below the face value and since while i got a message from CDSL that my 10400 shares were consolidated and reduced to 1040 and face value changed to Rs.10.
As of now my current worth is Rs. 10400 and with loss of around Rs. 20000. Shall i exit and move from the company?
What about my compensation for the reduced shares whether they will provide anything or shall i consider it as a loss?
When the face value of a stock is increased or decreased only the quantity changes and not the value. So now that face value of Dwekam has increased instead of having 10400 shares of FV Rs 1 you will have 1040 shares of FV10. The value of the shares will remain the same.
I am pretty sure @Rajaguru_D bought these shares based on an SMS tip. I’ve seen these messages floating around. This is a classic case of pump and dump.
The SMS had made its way to my phone as well. @Rajaguru_D, regardless of whether the stock goes up or not, you should seriously consider selling these stocks as soon as possible. It’s dirty water. You can buy so many other pristine stocks instead of this.
