EMA RSI Nifty Options Short

Dear Streak Support Team,

I have created a strategy named EMA RSI SHORT on Streak, but I am facing issues during backtesting. The strategy is not performing as expected, and I am unable to understand why it is failing.

Here are the entry conditions I used:

  • Symbol: NIFTY 50 (Indices)
  • Timeframe: 3 Minutes
  • Condition 1: EMA (Close, 10, 0) crosses below EMA (Close, 20, 0)
  • Condition 2: RSI (14, 0) lower than 50
  • Condition 3: RSI (14, 0) higher than 20
  • Additional filter: Hourly candle Close(0) lower than Open(0)

When I run the backtest, it either shows very few/no trades or results in continuous losses. Could you please help me identify whether:

  1. My conditions are conflicting (RSI 14 < 50 and RSI 14 > 20 together),
  2. My instrument/indicator selection is incorrect, or
  3. There is any known issue with backtesting on indices.

Please review and guide me on how to correct or optimize this strategy so that it works effectively.

Thank you for your support.
