Zerodha is a trusted name in the brokerage industry.
We indian citizens have other essential needs also in various areas of our life. It is hard to find ethical companies that don’t have misleading terms , are not backed by foreign powers with selfish intentions and also provide quality at a fair price.
The average indian consumer is very naive and gullible. Some people are very hardworking , not so rich but they are not street smart. They get conned easily.
It would be really helpful if zerodha can provide a list of companies in various categories that have good moral standards.
We cannot rely on some government body or NGO or MNC to protect the interests of the weak, poor or unknowing. We need to remember Gandhi’s words :
“I will give you a talisman. Whenever you are in doubt, or when the self becomes too much with you, apply the following test. Recall the face of the poorest and the weakest man [woman] whom you may have seen, and ask yourself, if the step you contemplate is going to be of any use to him [her]. Will he [she] gain anything by it? Will it restore him [her] to a control over his [her] own life and destiny? In other words, will it lead to swaraj [freedom] for the hungry and spiritually starving millions?
Then you will find your doubts and your self melt away.”
