What if anyone hold less than 10 shares of TCPL

Explained the scenario above;

Even if you are holding less than 22 and 55 shares of the company, you are entitled to receive shares of Tata Consumer Products. For example, if you hold 10 shares of Tata Coffee, you will get:

• For the demerger of TCPL Beverages and Foods, you will not get any shares as you are holding less than 22 shares (The ratio is 1 share for 22 shares held), resulting in fractional entitlement. In this scenario, payment for fractional shares will be credited to your primary bank account.
• For the merger of Tata Coffee with Tata Consumer Products (The ratio is 14 shares for 55 shares held), you will get 2.5 shares (14/55 = 0.25 * 10). 2 shares will be credited to your demat account, while for remaining 0.5, the payment will be credited to your primary bank account.

This will result in fractional entitlement. For this, the company will credit the amount to your primary bank account as per your entitlement. Have given an example above.

What if I hold less than 22 and 55 shares of Tata Coffee?

Even if you are holding less than 22 and 55 shares of the company, you are entitled to receive shares of Tata Consumer Products. For example, if you hold 10 shares of Tata Coffee, you will get:

@ShubhS9 , so if I hold 500 shares of Tata Coffee, here’s the calculation

• 22 + 16/22 shares for the demerger
• 9*14 + 70/55= 127+14/55 shares for the merger
  = 22+127 = 149 shares + (16/22+14/55) shares

Now 16/22+14/55 = 1 (exactly). Will I get 1 share in my account or will I get cash for the two fractional amounts?

In all probability you will get 3 shares of Tata consumer in next 8-10 working days . why i am using the word in all probability is because there is some confusion if holder of 10 TCL will get 3 TCPL or 2 TCPL plus cash credit.
