Hi @Fin
Yes. HUF can bid under HNI category
Thanks a lot for the clarification!
Also, is the allotment process in the shareholder’s category pro-rata or draw-based as in retail?
I have applied in the SHNI category + Shareholder Category. Can I increase my lot sizes in SHNI category?
What other options are available?
Yes. You can modify the bid.
Is it better to apply in shareholder category or individual category?
I doubt you can modify the bid under NII category.
Bid can be modified upwards, cancelation and downward modification isn’t allowed
No You cannot.
Even though the mutual fund you own have tata shares as you say, the mutual fund portfolio belong to all the unit holders who have subscribed just like you. So you are not eligible.
Just like when one of the company in the mutual fund portfolio declares corporate action i.e dividend etc, you do not get the same credited to your account. The same logic applies. the Dividend gets credited to the specific mutual fund and the same will be reflected in the spcific NAV of the fund.
I am an NRI having an account with Zerodha but failed to apply for Tata Technologies IPO since I didn’t have UPI and I failed to apply. Why can’t Zerodha facilitate direct payment through my Zerodha account?!
Hi @Basheer_Abdullah, as per SEBI regulations, only UPI and Netbanking can be used for making IPO applications. Funds in trading the account cannot be used. If you don’t have access to UPI, the application can be made using Netbanking ASBA using your Zerodha account details: Is it possible to apply for an IPO without using UPI?
I tried that also through ASBA through HDFC but not supported for NRIs! So, why they made it difficult for NRIs?!
@ShubhS9 Is this because there are no bank accounts tied up with Zerodha brokerage account. I thought Zerodha has tied up with IDFC bank where NRIs account get mapped to their savings bank account similar to Icici Direct.
With Icici Direct the brokerage account is tied up with SB account with Icici bank and hence doing transaction is seamless.
How to check the probability of getting allotment in retail category and sHNI category? Anybody come up with numbers will be good.
Let’s say individual applicants are more than 202834
Now there are people who apply from 13 lots and some with 12 lots and some with 11 and so on till people with 1lot
Individual applicants with 13 lots : 3 lakh
Individual applicants with 12 lots : 5 lakh
So ok till Individual applicants with 1 lot : 10 lakh
Now how the applications will be picked for lottery ?
All applications with less than 13 lots will be rejected and only applications with 13 lots will be considered for lottery ?
UPI-Mandate successfully Revoked towards TATA TECHNOLOGIES LI for Rs15000.00. Funds unblocked frm A/cXXXXXX1043.0abdeed0da2ab561e063c1d4bf0a8f8c@oksbi -SBI
did i get ipo ? or not
if not then when can i get refund back?
your answer will appericiate
Mandate revoked / funds unblocked means not allotted.
Concerning the release of the blocked amount, it varies from bank to bank until after the mandate end date (December 09, 2023). Visit: When are funds unblocked if the IPO was not allotted?
We had applied for TATA TECH IPO in NII (above 10lac) catatogory for almost 40,000 shares (Rs 2cr approx). In this catogtory allotment is in proportionate basis. Since it is was subscribed around 70 times in that catagory, there should be an allmotment of 40,000/70 = around 500+ shares. Instead no allotment message came!!!
How is it even possible? Earlier for other IPOs, e.g. for subscribtion of nearly 150times, shares still have been alloted in the proportion as expected.
Is there a possibilty that registrar for the issue has made a mistake here? Can this be checked?
Many have not got allotment. No idea why.
Even though the RHP mentioned about the allotment process as proportionate, in reality, a lottery seemed to be used. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have got a lot out of 4 (as retail). While I am happy, this is not fair for many people who are willing to block a larger amount. Either way, the transparency in the process is needed.
When can we pledge Tata Tech shares?
