Feature Suggestion SGB

Hello
SGB buying experience is not as smooth as Mutual fund or Equity . At least not very consistent.
When Mutual fund /Equity is ordered , till the time it is not deposited in my DMAT account, it is shown in order placed state in some way or other.

In case of SGB

  1. Order needs to be placed from coin platform.
  2. Once order is forwarded. it should go in status order placed. Instead it simply vanishes.
  3. Even if Ekuber(RBI) confirms the allotment …it is not seen in account. I understand it will get reflected in Kite some day in future.
  4. I understand it will get reflected in Kite portfolio.

In this case Ideally feature enhancement should be done

  1. Order should be placed from kite
  2. till the time SGB is not deposited in DMAT, it should show status ordered
  3. Kite folio should display SGB from the date E-kuber does settlement (deposits)

e.g I placed order for SGB 2021-22 SERIES I on 21st May
On 24th May order is vanished, instead of going into order placed sage.
I have received Ekuber mail on 26th May confirming settlement date 25th May
however still I can’t see the order status or folio update on Kite/Coin/Console
which is nightmarish experience

@Bhuvan
Any update here?

Also noticed that topic is marked as unlisted. how to make lt listed? So that others can comment about usefulness (or un-usefulness) of the feature.

if decsion is not to move order placment in kite, its okey… however vanishing trace once money is deducted not okey.

Can you take up feature improvement and show orde is placed or under process.

I would treat it has technical debt

No Rajendra but so far we haven’t made any changes to the SGB page given the Coin transition. We have plans to relook this down the line.

We show it once the securities hit the demat, the date it shows on EKuber has no bearing here.

Thank you…
Ulitmatly you understand prioirties, and long term implications of any change much better.
I trust your and your teams judgment.(& thats why use Zerodha)
