For holding a stock for long duration,In normal CNC order what should be the "Order type" and what to be selected in "validity" i. E Day or IOC. What does IOC mean

For holding the stock for long duration say 1 year or 2 yrs,

1-what should be selected in market order and validity dropdown.?

2- Will it be required to transfer the shares in Demat account,if yes what is the procedure and what will be the charges of transfer.??

1. Order type can be either limit or market order. You can see the meaning of different order types on this kite doc. Product type has to be CNC for buying stocks in delivery or to hold for more than 1 day. 

2. Share will automatically get transferred to demat, you don't have to do anything.
