How much money can a single individual trader put into a single strike price when buying options? Is there a limit, aside from the broker’s 15% limit?
There is a client-wise limit of 5% of the total number of all derivative contracts for the same underlying. Explained here:
Did you mean the strike price for both call and put options, considering the Open Interest (OI)? Alternatively, are you referring to the overall Open Interest (OI) for a single strike, and if so, is the total OI for that strike approximately 2 crore?
This 5% limit is considering OI for all the contract of that underlying, this will include Call, Puts and Futures. Had explained similar query here: Brokers limit at particular strike price in F&O? - #28 by ShubhS9
