Foreign Server IP for API trading

Hey,

I wanted to know if it is ok if foreign servers with foreign ip address can be used to place, track and modify orders for api based trading - even though i am a indian tax resident (not an NRI/Foreigner/OCI) and i have opened account with the same info. I am not going abroad. I am an indian tax resident staying in india. I am inquiring about having a foreign server (with foreign ip) accessing and placing trades in my zerodha account.

My main purpose is to - get market data and account data for analysis and then manually place, modify, delete orders etc

Are there any regulatory or compliance privileges for using indian data centers/ip? (Not networking stuff like server latency, ping etc. - i would like to enquire about ban/rate limits etc)

Will i penalised or blacklisted in case i use a foreign data center for api based trading?

I would be happy if you share some credible and authoritative articles/docs

Thanks. Looking forward for a reply.

IPs are generally supported globally, with the exception of a few specific regions, including Pakistan, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), Iran, and Myanmar. As long as your IP is from outside these areas, you shouldn’t encounter any issues.
