You answered here How can an Indian investor invest in foreign stocks?
that it is legal to invest money through Indian broker overseas trading account.

But is it legal to send money to a foreign broker and then trade ?

Yea, doesn’t matter Indian broker or foreign broker. As long as you are investing into stocks and not trading any kind of derivatives, it is legal.
