Sir, I am looking at following:
- Basic exemption limit increased to 10L
- Max tax slab for individual assesses = 25% including surcharge
- Increase in option STT from 0.0625 per cent to 0.125%

Lots of rumors of a tax relief for salaried class this time. Doubtful but expectant!
Expecting increase in basic exception and 80C limits.

I want two things which wont happen
- Abolishment of STT
- Meaningful decrease in taxes for higher income groups

We have Union Budget tomorrow, my 2 cents
- RBI Guv said money is flowing from fixed deposits to Mutual Funds
- SEBI chairperson said money is flowing from fixed deposits to Futures and Options (for Gambling)
- If they prefer to stop outflows from FDs, Govt. might have to bring about a tax advantage for FDs or increase the taxes on other Mutual Funds & Options Trading.
- AMFI, IFAs have asked Govt. to reduce taxation for Debt MFs…
So we have two contradicting situations here… let’s see what will be the final results…

STT is a free revenue source, without doing anything. They are not going to abolish it
The last thing the country needs is a decrease in taxes for higher income groups. Will not be a good image or a thing to announce in a budget.
Yes same, even I thought that since these 2 are commenting on it, some FD or capital gains tax law is going to change.
Sir, I think there are better odds of Dwayne Johnson becoming the President of USA than STT getting abolished.

yeah , no change in terms of tax on traders is a good budget these days. Esp considering all of the noise, i don’t expect anything positive for traders specifically and hope for nothing negative.
