Fundamentals & Charts don't work in Indian Markets

Look at sales of Hero Motors in September 2017.

and see how the Stock is moving after the News.

Several times ( > 90% ) my BO hits stop loss. Just my stop loss price level and then moves in my direction. That is why I hate BO orders.

There are algos who eat stop loss orders.

Maybe it is just that we don’t know how to understand trends. I would say you relied on fundamental news to predict intraday price. Though we may have differences of opinion in this matter, the trend was really bad in HEROMOTOCO currently, RSI is just about to hit lower limit, huge downward momentum and trend intensity is at the bottom. I would say this was not a good time to buy, at least on intraday. I expect the trend to reverse in around 2 weeks though.

Looks like the stock is about to change trend soon.

I am holding 200 Qty since three weeks.

Stop loss limit is not on hero Motors. But on HDFC.

FII selling continuously. We need to take decisions after seeing September Qtr FII Holding.

3 weeks ago was September 15. It is not just you the whole market has been bearish since September 19. I had incurred losses myself because I failed to see the swing in the trend of market movement. Though I have recovered since then, as the market is again in process of correction since about 3-4 days ago. I see the same to create an upward trend till next month as well.

In your (as well as my) case, it seems that we entered at a wrong time. Thats all.

@haribabu: where can we see FII quarterly holdings ? You mentioned that “after seeing September Qtr FII Holding” but I cannot seem to locate a good source for the same. Would be grateful if you know and can share.

As per FNO data Hero Motors will go down further.

On Friday FUTURES OI increase by 9% and ITM call writing is going on. That is how charts are made.

FII selling at higher levels. Hero Motors trend against Nifty Movement.

At this point of time going short on high FII HOLDING stocks is better.

Thanks @haribabu. What is the source of this information ? I see the link nicely packs it into tables, but I am more interested on where they get this information from. Any clues ?

I guess listed companies have to file there shareholding pattern every quarter.

This might be in ur case…:joy:
