Funds Available - Kite vs Console

Urgent.

My KITE shows lower funds available than the withdrawable balance on Console. Let’s say Funds available as per kite = 1 lac and as per console withdrawable balance is 1.8 lac.

I need to take delivery of some ITM options today and the amount needed is say, 1.4 lac.

How do I know which of these 2 numbers (1L, 1.8L) represents the correct available cash in my account and that I have enough to honor my ITM call?

@ShubhS9 - can you help?

Hi @Venkat_Krishnan, the withdrawal balance on Console will show higher than Cash balance on Kite if you have pledged LiquidBees or other securities that are considered as cash collateral.

When you have open positions, to block the margins cash collateral is considered first and then collateral received from pledging securities that are considered as non-cash collateral. If there isn’t sufficient collateral margin, then the remaining margins will be blocked from cash available in your account. Please check out this article to learn more: How is withdrawable balance calculated after pledging?

To take delivery of share you need to ensure you have sufficient cash balance in your account (Strike Price * Lot Size * No. of lots).
