Future of fno trading

Hello guys

What can be future of fno trading… specially for option trading…is there chances sebi can ban option trading ?

SEBI can do anything. There was no option prior 2000. It’s only 24 years its been there.

SEBI is considering allowing only accredited investors to do F&O trading. Accredited investors are high-net-worth individuals with at least Rs 5 crore liquid net worth and an annual gross worth of Rs 50 lakh. “That’s the way to protect retail and prevent them from going into F&O”

All those market research wallahs who have been providing calls so far will, from tomorrow, start providing multi-bagger stocks, I suppose.

He has given an example of an AIF accredited investor and has not said the same will be applicable in F&O.
F&O needs both a buyer and seller, and it is equivalent to banning F&O if the criteria are so high.

Has both meanings … another mesning cud be similar like in aifs

He is just trying to bring down BSE stock prices before NSE IPO .
AIF or hedge fund criteria are quite similar all around the world, but FNO is not the same.

F&O premium turnover has already been declining since June 2024. I don’t know what kind of business development head he is when he states that there is no effect on volume.

Dil behlaane ko ye khayal acha h … looks like u wil b badly impacted  trying to make out meanings out of nowhr

Nahi bhai …it will not impact me even if they bam f&o we have cash swing cash intraday.

My point is that he has just given an example of AIF. If you can expect some criteria like South Korea, and when I mentioned the fact that premium turnover is already declining, I want to show his factual credibility.

He could have given an example of PMS also, but he chose AIF.

hi @nithin, pls cn you explain? is this news applicable for retail investors or retail intraday trading in fno? @siva

i m trading in nifty options buying in intraday

Hi this news came only in indian express. why other news channels are not publishing this news?

Ashish sir, ye news article ka meaning kya hai kuch samj nahi aa raha hai… Option trading hum retail traders ke liye band ho jayegi kya…??

In very simple terms news is saying that minimum limit to trade fno in India would be 5 cr liquid netwoth. Also this is not from sebi yet, just an individual view as of now so I personally think one should ignore this.
