Have been hearing about this testing for sometime now. I have a feeling we will anyway have bugs for the first few months - even after this extensive testing.

Good food software takes time to cook! 
With many people working on a thing, does it reduce time needed?

Interesting. But it would help if they had added earlier and it would help future projects.

Uncertain, the bottleneck is not writing or testing code. 
It’s architecting it in a way that makes it maintainable and scalable in the long term (of course Z needs scalability now). 
Take for example an LLM, it could write and test some spaghetti code in less than a day.
But it would take twice as long to add the next feature, by the time you add a few features it wouldn’t be able to fix bugs it has caused in the last few features without introducing entirely new bugs.
