What would be the cost of ( including Brokerage , Bank transaction cost & Brokerage ) buying/ selling US Stocks , if i use 2500 dollar and earn 100 dollar

  • Transfer cost(Outward remittance):
    • Bank commission $10-15
    • Forex Markup: $5(Using lowest 0.2-0.15p w/UPI)
    • GST: 2-5$
  • Brokerage: Depends on broker: Averages 2$/ Transaction
  • Return to INR cost(Inward Remittance):
    • Bank commission $10-15
    • Forex Markup: $10(Using lowest 0.4 w/Banks like IOB)
    • GST: 2-5$

Overall cost: Around $50-60

Well , is it not an assumptive one right? if Yes i wanted to know it from a person who did the Transaction , more over i need to consider the Time siting over night in India to do the Transaction

Didn’t get you? Time sitting in india overnight? What?

The major US stock exchanges—the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and NASDAQ—regularly operate from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM Eastern Time (ET). In Indian Standard Time (IST), this translates to 7:00 PM to 1:30 AM during Daylight Saving Time (March to November), and 8:00 PM to 2:30 AM during Standard Time (November to March

This is nothing but a Health Risk i need to consider , if i have to trade US Market

Just would like to if S& P 500 ETF would be available as i would like to invest in that index

Is it public beta or internal beta?

The figure by @BB789 are not assumptive but accurate I have only done one way transaction and cost to Remit $1000 came to around $20, haven’t done any inward remittance yet, could assume net total it would cost me about $40-50 for a round trip to India, You need to initiate the transaction at the morning around 10-11 AM IST then you will receive the funds in your Brokerage account in the afternoon and trade in the Night as the time you suggested, I only Invest/Swing Trade in US so i do monitor positions throughout the night Just Once to Twice a day

Without forex markup?

Nope, this was inclusive of everything

Oh? Do you remember what was the markup? Private banks usually charge upwards of a 1.5INR/USD and it’s usually hidden.

Thank You , i am also interested in swing trading only.

My conclusion , This way Banks & Governments take away our Dollar earnings from US Stock Market

@siva The beta version that you are talking about is public right? Anyone can register for it?

Any plans for Forex mark up tie up with banks?

I used SBI so $10 Commission & Markup was around 0.2 or 0.15 p over spot, public banks have very tight spreads and GST came to about INR 200 don’t remember the exact value but somewhere around there

Yes, will announce here only.
