GOLD OPTIONS? without Gold SPOT price? but as gold futures as underlying? article attached

News is that MCX is to launch gold options trading on 17 oct 17 (http://www.financialexpress.com/market/commodities/mcx-dhantesras-gift-will-launch-options-trading-in-gold-on-oct-17/889042/),
but my concern is how to trade options when we cannot get the charts on brokerage firms for gold spot price? is it possible to trade without them or does is there any other way to get the gold spot price?

in the article they quote"“This is to inform you that the exchange is targeting to launch trading in Gold Option Contracts with Gold (1Kg) Futures as underlying on October 17,” the exchange said in a BSE filing"

if gold futures are underlying then will options will expire according to futures expiry price so no spot price right?

Is this article updated one? Some info is missing.
MCX is conducting webinar on Commodity options Mon-Fri at 5PM. In tht they mention Options r European. One cannot squareoff/exit an option position, instead it will devolve into future position only on option expiry which wud be 3days earlier to Future expiry. Correct me if Im wrong.

that article is updated on 10th oct, so info may be as accurate as possible on that date.

So finally Gold option trading started :frowning:
