Gold spot code to view

HI TEam,

I wish to look for Gold Spot price to do analysis with a view for 1-2 years. All I could see is Futures contracts with limited historical data.

Could you please suggest how can I evaluate spot price on Zerodha charts? what is the symbol to use

On ChartIQ charts, there is option to view Continuous chart for F&O contracts.

Open chart for Gold Futures and follow the below steps to view continuous data:

Gold Futures contracts have historical data available since late 2010 (It can be enabled via Continous Data option in chart)

If you want Gold Spot historical data for a long period of time, then you can get it from World Gold Council website (Free Registration is required to access the dataset, daily data starting from 1979, not available in INR but in other currencies like USD, EUR, AUD, etc )

If you want Gold Spot historical data in INR, then you can get it from the MCX website

Thank you very much. Can the continuous data option be available in TradingView charts as well or is it restricted only to ChartIQ?

Currently it is available only on ChartIQ.

GOLD1! GOLD FUTURES (CONTINUOUS: CURRENT CONTRACT IN FRONT) chart in TradingView.

Or you can just search for GOLD1! or GOLD2! in TradingView search box.

Hi. Did you found any solution to your question? I do have a same issue. I just want to track gold prices along side with nifty and Sensex.
