GoldM Contracts - Expiry Dates

Hi All,

In the Order book of Zerodha, I see GoldM April, May and June futures. Can someone please clarify the validity period and expiry date of each of these contracts? Greatly appreciate your help! Thanks

Gold mini contracts expire 5th day of the contract month. So April contracts will be 5th of April and so on.

Thanks for your reply, Nithin. I now understand April contract will expire on the 5th of April. When will an April Contract start being effective in the first place?

On Kite, I see GoldM Apr, May, and June futures. Can I buy a June future now and hold it until it expires on June 5? Is there a caveat? Do let me know please. Many thanks!
