Hi, HDFC has announced an ex-dividend day on May 10TH. It’s been a month, and I still haven’t received any dividend. Can anyone explain that to me?
It is self explanatory if you read the announcement.
Record date has no relation with when dividend will be paid.
For all companies, final dividend are always declared with Q4 results, but require shareholder approval in AGM.
This was HDFC bank’s calendar for last year.
This year too more or less you can expect same dates. SO don’t expect dividend payment before mid August.
