Hi, I want to get the historical lot sizes of all Fno instruments (index and spot) since inception. Where can I get it? I couldn’t find it in NSE archives.
Don’t think there is a single source that can get u the required info in one go. An alternative approach would be to use Google Gemini. For eg search ‘historical lot size of nifty options’, the result is:
Historical lot sizes of Nifty options
June 2000: When Nifty F&O contracts were first introduced, the lot size was 200.
2005: The lot size was reduced to 100.
2007: The lot size was further reduced to 50.
January 2020: It was again reduced from 75 to 50.
October 2021: The lot size was changed from 75 to 50 (this was a reduction for the same lot size set in 2015, see below).
April 26, 2024: The lot size was cut to 25 from 50.
January 2, 2025: It increased to 75.
December 30, 2025: NSE announced a reduction from 75 to 65. This change will apply to contracts expiring after this date.
This way you can do for other indices and F&O stocks
Take a look at this thread, it might help.
