Does it make sense to make the Capital gains taxation uniform across various asset classes. I personally don’t think so. but let me know what are your thoughts

eventually removing the distinction between STCG - LTCG?

There are multiple rumours circulating. I read somewhere that they are planning to treat stcg as business income instead of capital gains
Things are simplified only if it results in more taxation.
Scrap income tax and increase GST rate by 1 percent for all goods other than the ones which are under exempt and zero rated.
