I’ve bought some unlisted shares of Waaree Energies, which were recently listed, and need to update the purchase date and average price for the shares in my Zerodha holdings. My questions is:
- What should I enter as the purchase date? Should it be the date I received the shares in my demat account or the date I made the purchase in the unlisted market?
And also, just before the listing, the shares were automatically debited and credited again on 24/10/2024. Should I use that as the purchase date instead?
- What should I enter as the avg. price? Can I include any transaction charges paid to 3rd party while acquiring the shares?
