I’ve been an active Tqna user for quite some time, and recently I’ve been reading/watching a lot about traders using AI in their trading workflows. I’ve also been seeing many professional traders promoting AI-powered trading, which has made me curious to explore it myself.
One use case I’m particularly interested in is automating a strategy based on EMA conditions and candle close confirmations. For example, having AI help monitor the market and execute trades automatically when predefined EMA and candle closing conditions are met.
For those of you who use AI in trading:
What do you use it for strategy development, coding, backtesting, market research, trade execution, or journaling?
Have you automated any rule-based strategies using AI? If so, how did you go about it?
Which AI tools have you found most useful?
Has AI genuinely improved your trading, or is it mainly a productivity tool?
What would you recommend for someone just getting started?
I’d love to hear about your real-world experience, any pitfalls to avoid, and resources you’d recommend for learning.
Why limit yourself to “AI” ?
Any algorithmic trading platform would suffice to express and execute the above, right? (or can even implement your own code on top of your broker’s data and order APIs)
Well , not an separate tools but brokers are coming with these kind of features nowadays like pre made algo or DIY algo with drag an drop.
but i am little curious to know are people (i.e Active trader or serious investor) using the AI integration that has been done by few brokers like angelone , groww giving AI option wrapped with some LLM?
I agree. A rule-based algorithm can already do what I described.
My question is more about how people are actually using AI in their trading workflow. Im mostly seeing on twitter and youtube people promoting these concepts. What actually tempting is that it is much easier to turn ideas into something usable without having to write a lot of code. It can also help with research, finding patterns, reviewing trades, or even improving strategies.
I know AI isn’t something you can blindly rely on for trading. I’m just curious to know where people have found it genuinely useful and whether it’s given them any practical advantage. If there are areas where it can save time or improve the process,
