As the stock gets traded in the exchanges, the prices changes and the same gets reflected in trading terminals. The up/down amount indicates the change in prices.
I wanted to know the formula.
Its looks like its not taking last day close as seen in screenshot.

It looks like yesterday closing and LTP are different.
Could you please let me know how closing price is calculated.
How is closing price computed?
The logic used for calculating the Closing Price is given below:
ď‚§ Trades in last half an hour - In this case the Closing Price is volume weighted average price for
the last half hour trades in the futures contracts.
ď‚§ No trades in last half an hour - In this case the Closing Price is the Last Trade Price in the futures
contract.

This is related to futures.
I read its volume weighted average price but it was not clear anywhere on nse bse site.
The same logic applies to equities also.
