How change in stock price is calculated is it LTP-last day close price or something else

Hi

How change in zerodha kite is cacluated.

It does not seem to be
LTP - last day close

**Also what is up/down amount below ticker in chart left hand side upper corner, how is it being calculated **

As the stock gets traded in the exchanges, the prices changes and the same gets reflected in trading terminals. The up/down amount indicates the change in prices.

I wanted to know the formula.
Its looks like its not taking last day close as seen in screenshot.

  1. On market watch it is displayed based on yesterday’s closing.
  2. On chart it is displayed based on previous candle closing.
  3. In blue colored box it is showing based on tool “measure”, in this case it is asked to measure between any two ends ie candles.

Could you please let me know how closing price is calculated.

How is closing price computed?

The logic used for calculating the Closing Price is given below:
 Trades in last half an hour - In this case the Closing Price is volume weighted average price for
the last half hour trades in the futures contracts.
 No trades in last half an hour - In this case the Closing Price is the Last Trade Price in the futures
contract.

This is related to futures.

I read its volume weighted average price but it was not clear anywhere on nse bse site.
