How do I gift stocks from my ICICI direct to my dad's Zerodha account?

Dear all, basically, I would like to empty my portfolio and gift all my stock holdings and gift them to my father.
This is due to me being NRI and to avoid the extra Taxation in Germany for my income.
I have my holdings in ICICI direct. My father has his demat account with Zerodha.
I would like to know, how do I gift/transfer all the stocks to my Dad’s account with Zerodha? What are the things to consider. I guess I need to be physically present in India to do this? Appreciate if anyone can throw some light on this. Thanks.

You can transfer the shares via off market transfer. Check on this link to know the procedure of transfer of shares from ICICI Direct to Zerodha.

This can be done online through Zerodha. You can check the procedure as well from ICICI direct.

Hi Samcreedy4, I’m looking to do the same, would you be able to share with me the process of doing this online? And any issues you faced as an NRI? I’m in the same situation and hence looking at this as an option
