For sure in negative way in short term, but no one can quantify it as of now, let us wait for few more weeks to get some perspective.

it will surely have some impact… many traders still don’t understand the concept of peak margin and those trading aggressively are surely going to find it hard.

but honestly making amends with peak margin isn’t rocket science at all, if one stops taking aggressive bets and keeps buffer of at least 10 percentage to the margins blocked then as margin fluctuate there will be no shortfall when clearing corporation is taking snapshots… so yeah… trade safe and stay safe from peak margin penalty.

i think biggest impact will not be due to peak margin but reduced leverage will have more impact on markets as liquidity will become less and increase impact costs… at least sebi is doing this in phases that reduces the blow and industry might get used to it…
